I’ll freely admit that my favorite pieces are those that make me dream and wonder, but I’ve still got a definite soft spot for the whimsical and clever. This piece by Kay Sage hits those two marks nicely – it’s art about art! A painting of an endless sea of empty frames and blank canvases. Perhaps it’s saying something about painter’s block? Or about the artist’s disillusionment with her craft? Or maybe she simply thought a landscape without landscapes would look nice up on the wall. Regardless, I’m intrigued.
